A people who have seen the West and the East, wars and peace, the rise and fall of the countryside, are not startled by small things here, but ask each visitor more questions than the average tourist has time or the courage to answer. Or they don't measure up to the task.

You eat traditional food and pizza. You look at the beautiful Karelian nature of Laadokankarja and close your eyes from the barking squares. You experience a hospitable welcome and glance over your shoulder for an escape route.
