Finnish Forest Museum Lusto

Finnish Forest Museum Lusto

Lustontie 1, Punkaharju, Punkaharju

Lusto is not just any dusty museum, but an experiential and visually stunning meeting place in the middle of the most beautiful ridge and lake nature in Eastern Finland. The renewed, impressive core exhibition "Land of Forest Relations" leads visitors to reflect on Finnish forest culture with new eyes. Here, history, the present and visions of the future meet in a way that speaks to each of us.

In the summer of 2026, Lusto will offer special joy to families with children, when the new "Play, That's What It Is" special exhibition opens its doors to the world of wooden toys and forest games. In between touring the exhibitions, it is wonderful to sit down at the restaurant Kuhankeitäjä, which serves delicious food made from local ingredients. A trip to Lusto is a perfect choice whatever the weather, and it's also convenient to visit the Aseman Taidelaitur, which is located right next door, on the same trip!
