Kyynärpääjoki River excursion

Experience winter nature on a leisurely and beginner-friendly hike!

Enjoy the pure nature and fresh air in the Kyynärpääjoki landscape. This approximately 13-kilometer hike can be done either on skis or snowshoes, depending on your choice. The terrain is relatively easy, so this route is also perfect for beginners or for your first hike.

Along the way, we stop at an atmospheric lean-to, where we crown the nature experience by frying sausages and enjoying authentic sokpan coffee directly from the fire.

Hiking information:

• Duration and distance: 3–4 hours (13 km).

• Difficulty level: Easy (suitable for beginners).

• Price includes: Snowshoes or ski equipment, sausage roasting and soot-pan coffee at the lean-to.

Schedule and location:

• Time: Departures at 12:00 (March 15, March 29 and April 5, 2025). Tours are also implemented flexibly according to demand!

• Departure point: Oronmyllyntie 250, Särkisalmi.
